Информация о мероприятии
Место проведения: Звенигород, Московская обл.
Время проведения: 21-25 сентября 2009
Цели и задачи:Conferences “Clays and Clay Minerals” were held in Russia (and former Soviet Union) for a long time. Proceedings of these Conferences were usually published under title 'Crystal Chemistry of Minerals' and contained important novel scientific results about clays and layered minerals. After a long period of interruption associated with economical and political transitions in Russian Federation, these Conferences were resumed in 2004 in Voronezh. Only Russian scientists joned the Conference “Clays and Clay Materials” in Voronezh, 2004. Next one, which was held in Pushchino in 2006, was attended by a number of our foreign colleagues from Denmark, France, UK, USA, etc.
The aim of present Conference is to continue this tradition and we are very glad to welcome our guests from all over the world: Azerbaidzhan, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Hungary, Germany, Iceland, Iran, Japan, Latvia, Pakistan, Portugal, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Tadzhikistan Turkey, The Netherland, UK, Ukraune,USA, Uzbekistan, and other countries. We expect more than 180 participants who will provide high-quality contributions on recent progress in studies of clay minerals and layered materials. Both oral and poster contributions will be given in 12 Sections wich are characterized a broad range of topics. In the framework of the Conference, Russian Federation will host for the first time International Workshop: "Investigation of clay minerals for the developing of oil and gas geology". Its main purpose is to demonstrate how recent advances in clay sciences can be exploited for solutions of important problems in oil and gas geology. We hope that it will further foster applied research in this economically important area.
